The Indian Armed Forces always took pride in having been an apolitical organisation. Having delivered every single time when called upon, for obvious reasons, did make them an object of envy to all others. So much so, that armchair warriors blessed with the proximity of our policy making leadership worked overtime to somehow pull the soldier down from the high pedestal that the citizens place him at. Seeking parity, infact going for one upmanship against the Armed Forces with actually nothing to boast of, as regards their own work / achievements.         Of late, the trend has risen to alarming levels. Thoughts, even remotely patriotic that come to one's mind are born out of a sense of belongingness that one has to his / her Nation. The Nation, to all those who think about it, represents people who belong to it and all the rest that mother nature has endowed the particular piece of land with. That, in our case amounts to a whopping 1.37 billion human lives concentrated in an area of 3.28 million square kilometres of land.     Any rational person would readily concede that ensuring peaceful coexistence of contentment for 17.74% of the world's population living off barely 2.4% of the world's total land area would entail an extraordinary administrative effort.       A landslide win for BJP, on the cards all along - the revelry started even before the counting of votes could be completed. Now that the speculation and doubts are brushed aside and the writing is on the wall, what's most heartening is the fact that, the common man sees the victory of S hri Narendra Damodardas Modi as his own. Of his own aspirations and dreams that the majority perceives being absolutely in sync with the dreams of their most loved Prime Minister.
